Staff Spotlight: Linda Gaia - Catholic Education

Staff Spotlight: Linda Gaia

Recently 10 CEDC Primary Principals attended the QCPPA Conference in Toowoomba, joining nearly 90 other Catholic Primary Principals from across Queensland. The theme of the conference was “Breaking Boundaries for Tomorrow”. An exceptional line up of speakers highlighted the importance of leadership in today’s world and the important work carried out in our schools every day. The conference supports connections across diocese and supports the focus of the QCPPA – Principals for Principals.

During the conference each Diocese awarded one of their principals the Daniel McDonagh Award recognising a principal in their first five years of principalship who is making an impactful difference to their school communities. Linda Gaia, from St John’s School, Silkwood, was the recipient this year from the Cairns Diocese.
